Last Gasp of Summer

Photobucket
Lollypop Farm's Barktober Fest 2012 raised $110,000 to help homeless and abused pets in the Greater Rochester community!  Thanks to all of you who donated to the festival, to me personally (even you "anonymous" whoever you are), to all of our volunteers, staff, and everyone else who participated.

Hello Daisy!

Photobucket
Sorry, already adopted...  But, a very sweet and funny Dachshund.

Photobucket
You can tell how tiny she is by comparing her to the chair legs.

Photobucket
And now for the kittens.  Not adopted, but not quite ready yet.  They are in the foster program and need to put on some weight first.

Photobucket
Fawn.  Not at work, but hanging out at our apartment.

If you don't get it, please put this on your Netflix queue: Movie suggestion

All the great things we do for the animals is because of you!  So, please show your support and our race and festival below:

"Hunter?!? This Is A Party; Not A Safari!!!"

Erin and Megan at the Rochester wedding party.

PhotobucketMy co-worker's daughter is heading off to college tomorrow, which may mean my cupcake intake will drop dramatically over the next few months.  I'll be a wreck because I'll be sad and also have low sugar...

After a graduation party at Bernardo's Pizza in Victor, NY.  Someone better have the Ghostbusters on speed dial.

Photobucket
Emmy Lou REALLY needs a home.  It takes her a little bit to get use to you, but she'll be your best friend after that.  It's been a while since she's been on my desk.  I wonder why?
Photobucket
Oh, it's because Rufio took Emmy Lou's corner...

Photobucket
YEAH!  Lollypop Farm Picnic!  Perfect day to be outside having lunch!
That's it for now.  Will be out of town at another wedding this weekend.  So on and so on...

Lollypop Farm Construction Update

Here's a little update on the construction going on at Lollypop Farm!
Photobucket
This is the foundation for the new "cat patio."  Where the auditorium is now will become the new cat room.  The cat patio will be a place for cats to look outside and for people to look in.  Endless entertainment!

Photobucket
This is the new Training Center wing.

Photobucket
It won't be long before the new Clinic will have walls going up!  We just set a new record of 54 spay/neuter surgeries today with only three operation tables.  So, the quicker this is up the more animals we can help!

Photobucket
The new barn!  It's so shiny and red!

We can do great things for the animals of Greater Rochester with your support.  Our next big event is below.  I hope you can join or donate!

The bride with her uncle and photographer.  Oddly enough, I noticed there are no wedding shots.  So, I guess you have to go to their facebook page to see that portion.  CONGRATS RICH AND ERIN!

Keep On Keepin' On.

Photobucket
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Photobucket
And that means Littlest Pet Shop!  I am the Husky in the middle.

Photobucket
Helped with some moving last weekend.  Putting together Ikea furniture is always an adventure.

Photobucket
Somehow it all came together with only one missing part...

Photobucket
How does Princess like the move?  The look says it all...

Photobucket
Lot of work happening around Lollypop Farm.

Photobucket
Goodbye lawn!

That's all.  Very, very busy and lots of crazy little details all over the place...

You Get the Idea...

Photobucket
One must always be aware of fuzzy kittens at the office...

Photobucket
And a farm full of cupcakes

Photobucket
Chance apparently likes to dress like a fireman because he doesn't like the rain

Photobucket
I've seen how he puts out fires.

Photobucket
Here's the new $855 million children's hospital I worked on for a couple of years when in Chicago.  With the move, Children's Memorial Hospital has become the Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.  This place will probably be the most fun hospital ever built and a tourist destination.  Check it out at: http://luriechildrens.org/

PS-Congrats to the Children's Memorial staff, volunteers, donors, and the countless people that made it possible for such an awesome place to exist.  I'm very proud to say I played a very minor role in something that will help generations of children attain a healthy adulthood.
