Yeah for new bedroom. That was a fun couple of weekends. If you want to see what we did to the living room, you can visit: http://mikekraus.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-battle-against-beige-tyranny.html
How do you celebrate a newly painted bedroom? A bonfire of course!
Whoops, I guess I made the fire a little too big... Exciting day yesterday. A guy driving by my house had a gas leak in his car and it caught fire. It's not in this picture, but you can imagine what 2,000 lbs of charcoal with a Chevy bowtie looks like...
Ruby Shoes playing in the parking lot of the main street (Commercial Street) in East Rochester. For some reason, they played all the songs from Grease. That reason is probably that people love it.
Rachel showing off her swimming ability.
Foot
And, what would my blog be without my baby deers update?
This is by far the closest the fawn have been to us. Curious little fellas and they still have their spots. Pretty soon, they'll be moving in the house and paying rent.
That's about it. Lots of stuff coming up over the next couple of weeks...

"There is no life I know to compare with pure imagination. Living there, you'll be free if you truly wish to be."
Welcome to the Purr Imagination benefiting Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester!
Round the world and home again
That's the sailor's way
Faster faster, faster faster
There's no earthly way of knowing
Which direction we are going
There's no knowing where we're rowing
Or which way the river's flowing
Is it raining, is it snowing
Is a hurricane a-blowing
Not a speck of light is showing
So the danger must be growing
Are the fires of Hell a-glowing
Is the grisly reaper mowing
Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing
And they're certainly not showing
Any signs that they are slowing
I think Susie stole Johnny Depp's costume...
Susie and I showing off our outfits
Pam and I.
Good people watching.
The Skycoasters (http://skycoasters.com/) put on a great show as always
Look at all that candy!
Violet Beauregarde as played by Audrey. As you can tell, a good night was had by all!!!
Speaking of Lollypop Farm, time to paint the exterior
Megan hiking in Linear Park with Irondequoit Creek behind her.
A River Runs Through It. What? Penfield of course...
Legion Eyer Park. As you can tell, there are a lot of parks near our house. I discovered this one on Google Maps trying to find something else. It appears there's a bike trail around here too. Something else I have to research.
A panorama of Eyer Park
An old railroad bridge running over Irondequoit Creek
David the Gnome's house. Possible something more vicious...
Another bridge over Irondequoit Creek
Tried out Crust Pizza Kitchen at 115 West Commercial St in East Rochester.
Good Italian sausage pizza in Edmund Lyon Park.
Checking out the rest of town...
Busy week last week and still catching up. More of the same this week. Stay tuned for my next adventure: "Mike Uses His New Lawnmower." It promises to be a dangerous experiment...

Daaaf-O-Dillll...
ANGRY CAT!
Speaking of messes, this is not clutter; it's art.
70 degrees and sunny! Break out the shorts and sandals, honey. We're a goin' walkin'! Here's East Chestnut Street in East Rochester.
A sure sign of spring were all the softball and baseball games taking place as East Rochester School.
The entrance to Edmund Lyon Park
More baseball, this time at Lyon Park.
There's a pretty interesting neighborhood and the southeastern portion of the village. It seems the developer was trying to create a modern elf village, which these houses don't appropriately show... Sorry...
Our first flower at the new house. Not bad little Daffodil. When I came home today there were a whole row of these guys ready to pop. I wonder what else will pop up in our yard?
That's all from Rochester.

Turn It Off... Like a Light Switch...
This classic art piece is more well travelled than I am. It has sat above many TVs, couches and who knows what else.
While we're at it, here's a funny little thing I made for my co-workers at the children's hospital for christmas. The theme was 12 Days of Christmas and I had "6 Geese-A-Laying." Laying what? Egg McMuffins of course...
MMMMmmmm... Banana Nut Rum French Toast from the New Yorker Pancake and Grill at 165 W. Commercial St in East Rochester. Possibly the best french toast I've ever had and it was Megan's meal. The syrup was so good I would have used a straw if available...
Sorry Denver, I've upgraded to the Pittsburgh Omelette...
Here's a gem from the local thrift store. Why have leather shoes when you can have the fur?
That's all for now. Not been too exciting around here with the cold miserable weather lately. Just a lot of watching movies and bumming around the house.
