LEAPIN' LEMURS!!!

Photobucket
For my birthday, my beautiful wife brought me to the Seneca Park Zoo!  http://www.senecaparkzoo.org/

Photobucket
I should have known that we were going since there was a theme to my breakfast...

It's a good thing I can't get a Meerkat as a pet.

Who will win in snake vs. Hulk.  Also, I should note that it is an awesome time to go to the zoo because it is the Zoo Boo.  Kids get to trick or treat with the animals.

His name is Justin Verlander and he will be taking the game tonight against the Yankees in game 3.

Photobucket
The Step Into Africa just opened!  I've been wanting to go to the zoo since we moved to Rochester, but we've been waiting until this opened.  Then, we just got busy since it's been open for a while.  YEAH!

Photobucket
Masai huts.

Photobucket
LOOK AT ME GOAT!  LOOK!!!

Photobucket
I'll have to ask Dick and Marianne about these items in the Masai hut.  Especially the chair and digital screen in a weird wood frame...

Photobucket
The lions really liked watching all the kids in costumes.

Photobucket
Elephant.  I really like the kid in yellow because he's The Man in the Yellow Hat from Curious George.

Photobucket
For some reason, this elephant spent a lot of time eating a chain.

Photobucket
MORE AWKWARD POLAR BEAR!

Rachel's favorite animals at the zoo, which are Raccoons.

Photobucket
Mmmmmm...  Giant American Cheeseburger.  So good and so much that there was no birthday cake necessary afterwards.  Highly suggested

Photobucket
Mmmmmm...  Fries too!  The red pepper and artichoke dip was really good too.  Great place for people watching.

First, thanks to all my friends and family for the birthday wishes.  I really appreciate it.  Especially to Megan for showering me with attention for a full day.  And, to Derek Jeter for breaking his leg so the Detroit Tigers can have a fair shot at going to the World Series...

Another Lollypop Construction Update

Photobucket
The walls are going up fast for the new training center

Photobucket

Photobucket
A lot of work to go as you can tell by the sheer amount of cinder blocks around

Photobucket
Crisp fall day with the trees changing color behind the new animal clinic.

Photobucket
And, the trees haven't quite changed color or the salmon start to swim up the falls at Corbett's Glen
Photobucket
The trees around Allen's Creek are about to change.  Hopefully, it will be better than last year when they were about to change and then a severe windstorm knocked all the leaves off.  It went from summer to instant winter.  Then, there was no snow.  Last year was weird.
That's it from here.

What are Megan and Pete so excited about?  Mike and Amanda are married!

Photobucket
Looking good...

Photobucket
Now, for some important national news:  This serves a few purposes: 1) To remind the American republic that there is a Presidential debate coming up 2) for my birthday you can get me Barack Obama and Mitt Romney toy pillows from the claw machine at the Topps in Panorama Plaza and 3) Topps isn't the best for groceries, but it makes up for it in entertainment.

Photobucket
Stella.  You are so good!  I think it has something to do with the water bottle

 Photobucket
ROCKY!  I think he's the fastest eater I've ever seen.

Photobucket
How am I suppose to get any work done with this going on?

The Detroit Tigers are in the post season.  So, that should keep me occupied through October (if all goes well).  I'm hungry.  So, goodbye...
