Twilight Woods

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

Twilight Woods
201910089
© copyright Mike Kraus

I follow the winding path not knowing where I'll end up.  The trees rustle in the breeze stirring up the aromas of the forest.  A freshness one always has to remind themselves of in civilization.  The light refracts in strange ways at this time.  It's when the surreal becomes the real.
This piece would look best in a small-to-medium space that is red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, light purple, black, white, grey, or wood.

I count my breaths as I enter the woods.  It calms my thoughts and helps me to relax.  The chaos and cravings of the world evaporate with every step.  If you're fortunate enough to find the mysterious pass, then you enter into paradise.  This is the magic of the forest.

This painting would look best in a small space that is dark red, orange, green, blue, white, black, grey, beige, or wood.

It was a flash of inspiration.  Her niece's birthday was soon and she loves elephants.  We worked on the piece and had it gift wrapped.  After a loquacious dinner and heavenly cake, it was time to open gifts.  At first, she looked a bit confused by the yellow and brown pattern she saw.  As she pulled off more paper, she saw the first elephant and became very excited.  This original painting is now a symbol of their unique and beautiful relationship.

Join us in celebrating our 10th Anniversary! This year's walk will have a football theme and we're ready to make a touchdown for pancreatic cancer research.

We've been preparing our playbook! Our fight song is ready! And now we need our "fans" to cheer us to victory! As our "fans" we encourage you to come wearing your favorite football team (college or professional) apparel - no cleats, though! And shoulder pads aren't necessary, even though pretty cool, but it's a friendly event and there won't be any tackling!

It's an indoor 5K - we're not letting the weather stop us from raising money to support pancreatic cancer research.

It's was a busy morning.  We woke up early for a long drive before taking an exhausting hike.  But, it was completely worth the arduous journey.  I decided to sit and relax on a large stone before our next excursion.  I felt a tap on my arm and when I turned to respond, I saw this incredibly curious lemur looking up at me.  Before I knew it, he pickpocketed my granola bar and was enjoying the treat on my shoulder.  Sometimes, the best experience aren't on the itinerary.

This painting would great in a small space that is red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, light purple, black, white, gray, beige, or wood.

Our jeep rumbles out of the bushland jungle.  The vehicle bounces down the dirt road and slows down for darting lemurs.  The sky is lighting up as we make our way back to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.  As we come up to a narrow curve, we come to a near stop.  When I look up, I see the magic of Africa.

This painting would great in a small space that is dark red, green, blue, purple, black, white, gray, beige, or wood.
