The songs of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Nigh Ranger, and other artists underscore a tale of big dreams on the Sunset Strip. Soon after hopping off a bus from the Midwest, aspiring singer Sherrie Christian finds herself in trouble. Coming to her rescue is Drew, a bar-back at the legendary club the Bourbon Room. With stars in their eyes, the young lovers chase their dreams, but a misunderstanding involving rock god Stacee Jaxx threatens to tear them apart.

Mike Kraus was born on the industrial shoreline of Muskegon, Michigan. After earning his Fine Arts Degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he attended Grand Valley State University for his graduate degree. From there, he gained varied experiences from the Chicago Architecture Center, Art Institute of Chicago, Hauenstein Center For Presidential Studies, Lollypop Farm Humane Society, and the Lurie Children's Foundation. And every place he worked, he had his sketchbook with him and found ways to be actively creative. In 2014, Kraus became a full-time artist by establishing Mike Kraus Art. Since then, he has sold thousands of paintings that are displayed in nearly every state and dozens of countries. Currently, Kraus lives in Rochester, New York with his beautiful wife and goofy dog.

🏡 How Can I Make The Spaces I Live and Work In More Relaxing? 🏡

 

1) Declutter — Remove anything that is nonessential. And stop bringing in things that are not calming
2) Arrange furniture for comfort
3) Quiet Space — Find/create a spot without distractions. No phones, screens, or other annoyances allowed.
4) Use Light Colors — Light blue, green, pink, purple, grey, yellow, and off-white are relaxing colors.
5) Make Life Easy — Simplify and streamline chores. Get the hooks, bins, and baskets that reduce stress.
6) Nature — Add plants that are easy to maintain. They are calming and also remove toxins.
7)Bannish Demons — Some things remind us of negative experiences. There are photos on the walls, junk under the bed, and overstuffed boxes that contain pain and sadness. They don’t deserve to take up my space.

👏 How Can We Encourage Each Other To Be More Relaxed? 👏

It takes a team to do good things. So, how can I be a better teammate?

1. Who Encourages Me? That person is awesome. And I’m going to tell them. Which will also encourage them.
2. Listen: I will listen without interuption. Ask them what do they need. And help them in ways they really need it.
3. How I Speak: Talk positively about others and myself. This is a source of inspiration.
4. Praise Effort; Not Outcomes: I can’t control results, but I can control the energy I put into it. And I will keep trying to do better
5. “Thank You”: I will acknowledge and appreciate what others do. When I’m appreciated, I know I try to do more for them.
6. Smile: Friendliness is contagious. My smile causes others to smile. And their smiles spread to many other faces.
7. CELEBRATE!: All wins big and small are wins. It can be simple and easy or big and elaborate. But, I will find ways to reward myself and others for meeting goals.
