Autumn Is For Being Cozy

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

Autumn is for treating yourself to cocoa on chilly nights at home.  Lounging in pajamas under cozy blankets with your furry family member.  Appreciating quiet moments watching the trees light up yellow, orange, and red.

Home is a shared space with the people you love.  A collection of ephemeral moments.  A reflection of the aspirations you have for yourself and your loved ones.  Surround yourself with joy and happiness.

Our pup pulls her leash on another day of hiking in and around the Adirondacks.  A wild region full of deer, herons, and chipmunks.  You may even find a moose, coyote, or black bear on these trails.  The dense pine forest opens up to a river valley full of brisk autumn air.  There's a roar of water crashing.  Wandering through the forests, you never know what you'll find in the six million+ acres of these parks.

This painting would look best in a small-to-medium space that is dark red, dark orange, light yellow, green, blue. purple, black, white, beige, or wood.

I follow the winding path not knowing where I'll end up.  The trees rustle in the breeze stirring up the aromas of the forest.  A freshness one always has to remind themselves of in civilization.  The light refracts in strange ways at this time.  It's when the surreal becomes the real.

There's a crispness to the fall air walking through the forest.  The sunlight makes the yellows, oranges, and reds explode in vibrancy.  It's an easy hike to the small river.  That's where we'll see the salmon trying to make their run.  The perfect place to social distance.

This piece would look best in a small-to-medium space that is dark red, yellow, green, dark navy blue, purple, black, white, grey, beige, or wood.

"The First Day"
Andy Jacobs

June 16th. A magical day.
The first day of the course fishing season.
I can see the bubbles rising amongst the lily pads.
Tench are feeding.
They brush against the pads, gently disturbing them, but the resting Damselfly warming it's wings stays still in the early morning sunshine.
I have had many early summer mornings like this.
Mist, sun, cuckoo's calling, Damsels and Tench. Happiness.

Andy Jacob's passion for fly fishing and fly tying has been amalgamated with a craft business producing his completely unique brooches. These feature beautifully mounted representations of flies typically used to catch trout and other species of fish.  Each brooch is made by Andy from start to finish using the finest materials and to exacting standards.
