Today is a lazy day as we've hiked a lot this week.  But, we still want to enjoy something pure and beautiful.  We scout the shoreline for a few rocks that will make a good picnic table and seats.  Maybe a spot for our pup to lay down and chew on a stick.  On the stony beach we enjoy a spread of bacon bread, cheese, crackers, and chocolate.  The fish jump as we enjoy our food.  Healing nature is possible.

Over 100 homes and 5 hotels use to ring Hemlock Lake connected by 5 large ships.  The pollution began to poison the waters.  In 1852, the City of Rochester began to process of improving water quality after contamination lead to a massive disease outbreak.  Over 5,000 acres were purchased and all buildings demolished to improve the water's purity.  Today, it's the prime example of how to live with these sacred lakes.

This painting would best in a  space that is red, orange, yellow, green, dark or light blue, purple, black, white, grey, or wood.

😡 At Some Point, I'll Become Agitated. How Will I Return To Calm? 😡

We all have setbacks and failures. It’s inevitable. What matters is we learn from it and keep going. Here are some tips:

1) Step away from the situation. Clear my mind.
2) Figure out what went wrong.
3) What did I learn from mistake?
4) I’m responsible for the results and fixing it.
5) Let it go. It’s all in the past now…
6) What do I do next: recommit to goal, adjust, or a new goal.
7) Take action immediately. The faster I do something; the more likely I will be successful.

There are quiet footsteps coming from the darkness beyond our campfire. They are faint and we don't see anything, but we know something is there. A few moments pass and we hear a little chittering. Just beyond our picnic table appear small eyes glittering from the fire as they focus on our empty cooler. At first he is shy, but then races to open the ice box. There's no food and his body language shows his obvious disappointment. He gives us one sad glance before sauntering away to find other less prepared campers.

🏈 To Be More Relaxed, What Will I Change? How Will I Do It? Goals? 🏈

To Be More Relaxed, What Will I Change? How Will I Do It? Goals?

1) Set a Goal: Start with something small. For example, I will sit quietly by myself for 10 minutes today. And gradually get more ambitious

2) I Do What I Want: I have control over what happens and how I do it. These are all my choices

3) Shut Up!: No judgment. Especially of yourself. This is a process; not an outcome

4) Don't Stop Believin': This is a journey; not a destination. We don't know how it ends. It's messy. But, it can be fun.

5) Set a Deadline: It can be in an hour, day, week, month or year.

Whatever way you want to be calm, find a way to easily measure if you've accomplished your goal.

Most of all, find a way to MAKE IT FUN!!!
