Final weekend to see Pittsford Musical's Company. There's a show tonight (in a few minutes actually, so hurry), a matinee tomorrrow and the closing show. Bobby... Bobby... Bobby baby... Bobby bubbi... Robby... Good stuff! http://pittsfordmusicals.org/ Framing kids art at work. Good to see my art degree is really paying off!
Linear Park in Penfield. Just taking a little walk on one of the few nice days we've had lately.
Mustache Pony. Classic
Megan scaring off the ducks in the Irondequoit Creek
Twala helping me with donor relations at work.
That's about it for now. Again, if you need tickets to Megan's show, go to:
It was niece Tachel's birthday and I'm surprised her ice cream cake didn't melt with that rocket in it!
Bella is the new cat in the office. She's 3 years old, good with other dogs, cats, and ferrets. She was turned in because her owner passed away. She purrs are everything and anything. Very well behaved and good at hiding in an office with no hiding spaces.
Sondheim's Company starring Megan Bell will be performing for the next couple of weekends by Pittsford Musicals. It's at the Caukins Road Middle School in Pittsford, NY and if you want times, tickets, or other information, go to: http://www.pittsfordmusicals.org/
See this cow? It's outside the Red Osier Restaurant in Stafford, New York (outside of LeRoy). I had a piece of meat the size of this cow and it was the "petite portion." They have a cut of meat that is 5 lbs. and it comes with a t-shirt. Where's John Candy from the Great Outdoors when you need him?
The McGuiness Pub, Ronan Carroll's favorite Irish pub if he ever visits it, now has "Cruise Night" ever Wednesday. Something I discovered on the way to getting ice cream.
Kid's art hanging up at Lollypop Farm. These were some of my favorites. But, after I saw these I saw a bunch of others I like. One has a talking fish I find humorous.
God, I wish we adopted out penguins. I'd keep them in my office!
A donor breakfast even expertly pulled off by Jenny and Julie.
The Owl House in downtown Rochester!
Edamame, fish tacos, and pulled pork sandwich. All very good and fresh. Not too hardy though since we had to have a post-dinner snack when we got home. Quickest service ever too. Megan and I were out on a date night and it took us longer to get there driving than to get seated, order, eat, and pay the bill. Oh, the drinks were on the small side as well. But, other than that, good stuff!
MEAT!
PETE AND MEAT! They cart out the meat and carve it at your table. They do the same with ice cream and a few other dishes. I'm completely sold on this place and my grandpa's would have loved it.
That's it other than being crazy busy at work these days. Lots of events, meetings, installations, reports, budgeting, calls, and on and on and on. It's all great though and I'm excited about the stuff I'm working to improve.
PS-this blog is now available to view in a mobile version. Let me know what you think since I don't have a smart phone.
Look at this tired little girl! Megan suggested a nice little walk along the Erie Canal. You know, just from Pittsford to Fairport. I'm always up for a walk, but she didn't realized it is an eight mile journey (one-way). And, unlike Chicago, there's no El train back to the car. So, we took 31F and some back roads back home and we took a break on the front lawn of the Monroe Golf Club.
The Pittsford Regatta. Just a few crew boats out that day.
I didn't ever see this growing up in western Michigan. Jet ski racing, maybe...
A tribute to the book Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh, who is from Fairport, New York. Never read the book, but now I feel I have to since she's a neighbor.
Pier at Webster Park on Lake Ontario
Webster Park from the pier. Don't let the picture fool you, this is during a very severe thunderstorm. In fact, the whole weekend pretty much looked like this with dire predictions of heavy rain. So much for plans...
Candid Megan!
MORE WATERFALLS!
Hank's Ice Cream in Webster. Megan's favorite ice cream and for good reason!
MORE WATERFALLS! This time in Corbett's Glen
Did you know there are a lot of waterfalls in Rochester?
The sand dune
MINNIE FOUND A HOME! Apparently, her new home is her old home. I don't understand the whole story, but she's got a place to live.
One cat leaves and two takes its place. Please adopt him!
She's available too. And, this one needs to be watched because she likes to chew cords. So...
Surprisingly, there isn't enough room in a blog to explain how after a couple of weeks, over $1,000 the car has just as many problems as when it went in...
