The season was turning cold and we'd decided to get away to Martinique. It's a rugged Caribbean island of steep hills, narrow streets, and garden cafes. The days spend relaxing on the
Plage des Salines and romantic evenings at a beachside restaurant with a pet parrot named Captain. Every day, we'd return from the beach for drinks and play with Captain. We'd have our dinners together overlooking the sea. And he' squawk "bye-bye" as we'd walk the beach back to our room. So many wonderful memories.

Story of Jenny Dupraz
I have always loved creating jewelry! But, I fall in love with Venetian beads 25 years ago, during a trip to Venice.  Since this time, the venetian Beads were becoming my passion!  Fascinated by the diversity of the Venetian beads, their shape, their size, their color, touch them, as their history, the beauty and magic of Venice Beads (Murano) really triggered the "favorite magic"which led me to create jewelry, first for my own pleasure and that of my friends, and now yours!

It's a passion I would like to share with you.

I only create unique models according to my desires, the inspiration of the moment, taking into account current trends, of course.

Direct from Italy, Murano glass beads are handmade in Italy by skilled artisans who have perfected the art of glass.  I mix them with beads semi-Precious, Swarovski, and others that you will be glad to discover...

The warm breeze rushes through the car as we drive down country roads with our windows down. Every bend reveals new sights. Every hill a new perspective on the panorama. It's a yearly ritual for us to drive around the lake when the warm weather returns.  A day full of hiking and picnics among the waves. It's the little things in life that make us grateful.

This painting would look best in a small space that is red, orange, yellow, dark green, dark blue, purple, white, black, grey, beige, or wood.

My Story
I’m Mike, the Artist of Mike Kraus Art Inc.

I’ve been making art since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I’d fill countless sketchbooks with drawings, cover school assignments with doodles, and publish magazines and print flyers for my friend’s bands. And then, I became an adult... The demands of food and rent seemed to require a “serious job.” For years, I languished in a cubicle performing meaningless tasks for a meager salary.

Until one day, my boss insulted me. After years of being yelled at, micromanaged, and “thrown under the bus” for their incompetence; I had enough. I quit my career and took another part-time job as a cashier of a big-box store because it had the least amount of responsibility. The rest of my time I spent painting. After several months, I had to quit this low-wage job too because it was getting in the way of my art business.

I decided to be a full-time professional artist. I needed the time to paint, collaborate with my patrons and galleries, and maintain my studio. Since then, I’ve sold thousands of paintings that are displayed in nearly every state and dozens of countries. I’m very fortunate to have a career dedicated to adding more beauty to the world. And I hope to share that experience with you.

Spring gardening is a lot of work with little instant gratification.  There's a lot of weeding, pruning, sowing, tilling, and other activities that look like I've done less than when you started.  Little by little, some seedlings appear and other greenery.  The nightly concern of frost and expectations of deer.  One morning, I'll wake up to unseasonable warm weather and I'm surprised a burst of pink miraculously appears in my yard.  Summer must be near.

This painting would look best in a small space that is orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black, grey, beige, or wood.

Our bikes race up and down the gentle hills of Provence. Everything has a distinct texture, the colors are vibrant, and the perfume in the air is intoxicating. And every twisting road we turn down has countless rows of purple and blue lavender. The heat of the Mediterranean sun presses against our backs as we pedal back to the village of Sault. I'll never forget the fields of France.

Do you feel your life is unbalanced? Why? And what impact will it have on you next year?

This piece would look best in a small space that is red, yellow, orange, green, dark/light blue, white, black, grey, beige, or wood.

Not too many waters are as pure as Canadice Lake.  The wildness of the wilderness still remains as homes are prohibited from the shoreline and large boats are banned from the waves.  Just the tranquility of fresh water splashing on the embankment surrounded by unspoiled woodlands.  As I silently watch the sky, a Bald Eagle soars in the air before a sudden plunge toward the lake.  It pulls up just before crashing while thrusting its talons into the water grabbing a Lake Trout and flying away.

What is good for nature is good for us.

This piece would look best in a medium space that is red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue, purple, black, white, grey, or wood.
