The Adventures of Ethan Vaughn The Dream Master: Book 1: The Mystery of the Treeless Forest

I'm so proud to announce that Richie Bell has illustrated their first book, The Adventures of Ethan Vaughn The Dream Master: Book 1: The Mystery of the Treeless ForestIt's quite an accomplishment to achieve before graduating high school.  And a promising start for their career in the arts.  I've been privileged and grateful to watch Richie develop as an artist.  To have such a kind and tender heart that will guide them to a bright future.

Many of us have lost friends way too soon.  Other's have been alone on hospital ventilators drowning in their own lungs.  For those of us with asthma, heart disease, diabetes, overweight, have/survived cancer.  And our 50+ year old parents and grandparents who we love so much.

Stay home, save lives.  It's really that simple.  Finally getting to play video games without interruption.  I'm binge watching all sorts of shows and movies.  Laying in my hammock reading books that have been collecting on my shelves.  And evenings playing board games with a few glasses of wine.  Our pup, Scout, loves all the attention and walks she's been getting.  Saving lives has never been so easy.

See how staying home prevents thousands of people from getting the Coronavirus:

Still Having Summer Fun!

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

Latest 2020 Summer Fashions

I hope you're enjoying your summer!  That you're spending sunny days by the water, grilling delicious meals, and playing games in the yard.  We can still have fun, right?

Your health and safety is very important to me.  As a few places reopen, I will not be participating (and have cancelled) all face-to-face art shows, exhibits, or other events until I can guarantee your protection from infection, hospitalizations, or worse.  My pieces are still available to view and purchase at: MikeKrausArt.etsy.com following the latest CDC guidelines.

Life is what we make of it.  So, let's focus on the good, take care of ourselves, and be helpful to others.  And remember to savor the warm, radiant days of summer while they are here.  The inspiration can last a lifetime.

Stay Safe,
Mike Kraus

My Gift To You For Memorial Day Weekend!

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

An overstuffed hatchback speeds through an endless expanse of prairie to a long-forgotten Midwestern town.  This extraordinary novel follows Luke on an odyssey of calamity and humor during a summer of uncertainty.

With a bottle of Whiskey, Luke courts mischief with his friend Anabelle, takes care of his grandfather, fails to understand Monica, while working multiple side jobs-a snapshot of a time and place.  From the boarded up storefronts, through the quiet factories, to the well-manicured suburbs, Luke is aloof as he walks the miles of potholed streets of his hometown wondering what the future holds.

From humble beginnings and questionable hopes, Luke knows that his time home will be limited before he's forced toward his destiny.  What dreams, traditions, and relationships will survive these tumultuous days?

That Snape Is Such A Jerk!

Photobucket
SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!  Why did he ever trust him?!?!  Just more evidence that I remain 12 years old (and my wife encourages it)...

Photobucket
So, Megan is out of town and I'm left to my own devices.  I didn't intend to buy this for dinner, but when I saw that Hamburger Helper had Beef Stroganoff and ULTIMATE Beef Stroganoff, the decision made itself.  What makes it "ultimate;" not sure...

Photobucket
Another "perk" of Megan being out town is watching terrible movies like Omega Man starring Charlton Heston.   Classic zombie flick.

Photobucket
And speaking of my blushing bride, here she is!  Who knew when I made these for our wedding that it was going to be a decoration for the house?

Photobucket
And, Megan's idiot husband...

Photobucket
So dreary.  I think this is as bright as it got all day today.  At least it wasn't a foot of snow or another ice storm.

That's about it.  I've been pretty boring lately being sick and all.  Waiting to hear if Megan's flights will even make it in tonight.  Blah, blah, blah, etc...
