And now all the Daffodils are out.

Enough blogging for now.  It's going to be nice for only a few more minutes.  So, I'm going outside to enjoy it...

Raise the Woof!

Raise the "woof."  Get it?  Instead of roof because we're an animal shelter.  I'll be here all night folks...

Photobucket
The new Training Center is going up real quickly at Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester.  The roof is going up and the sides are getting covered!

Photobucket
Backside of the training wing

Photobucket
The new clinic has its roof too.  Lots of windows for lots of animals to look out of while they are recovering from spay, neuter, and other surgeries.

Photobucket
Look at these guys.  They laugh at Mother Nature!  Hurricane Sandy won't stop them from helping the animals in our community.

Thanks again for all of your support.  None of this would be possible with the support of the community.  And, I promise, more updates to come.

That's a Lot of Bull...

Photobucket
I bet your job doesn't have a giant fiberglass cow (unless you're a co-worker of mine and then you do).  This guy use to be in front of a restaurant, but was donated to Lollypop Farm in the 70s, when we were in Henrietta.  He made the move to Fairport/Egypt and now guards the Farm.  His most notorious trip occurred when Fairport High School seniors stole him and put him on top of the school.  He is very securely bolted to the ground now...

Photobucket
Llamas.  Farm animals are available for adoption too.

Photobucket
With all the rain and mud these days, this is one happy pig

Photobucket
You may ask "When did Egon Schiele create a masterpiece portrait of Mike," but this is in fact an original Tachel.  It can be viewed at the new gallery space at Lollypop being installed in my cube.

Photobucket
Yikes.  Tachel was being a generous artist with a face like this.  P.S. I put ugly pictures of myself up here too

Photobucket
Megan chillin' on the slide on her old turf at Indian Landing Elementary School.  The genesis of her acting career and her famous line "Calling all mothers!  Calling all mothers!"  followed by a dancing routine involving the song Yakety Yak by the Coasters.

Photobucket
KITTEN SEASON IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!  Rochester has a cat overpopulation problem and we need to find new homes for these guys and get as many as possible spayed or neutered.  So, here's a link for information and how to help:

AND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOO!!!

Photobucket
HERE'S SUNSHINE!  She's being fostered by one of my co-workers, who will likely adopt her.  As you can tell, she's a very nice little dog that will let you do anything you want to her.  Most sedated dog ever.

Photobucket
Reno with some rescued puppies.  Not sure what their story is.  Apparently they came from South Carolina.

Photobucket
One of the puppies is blind.  Probably the one walking into the desk.  A few moments after this was taken they decided to sit in their food.

Photobucket
LLAMA!!!

Photobucket
And look at this guy!

Photobucket
Just a couple of rabbits hanging out in their new pen

Photobucket
This one is up to no good.

Photobucket
We had a "grazing day" at work.  Spring themed of course.  This was the aftermath.

Interesting fact: Did you know I get paid to be here?  And you can too!  If you want to share an office with me, visit:

Also, "Farm Day" is on April 30th at Lollypop Farm.  So, come if you want to watch me face paint.  For more info on that, go to:

Now for a couple of random pics...

Photobucket
So, Megan and I are house-hunting.  We've seen some interesting places...  Here's a pencil drawing which would not be removed if we bought this one (which we will not).

Photobucket
After a couple of months, I traded in my Nissan Versa for this truck.  I had to.  Look at the x-mas tree painted on the door!

That's it for now.  I would have had pictures from our visit to the Eastman Theater and dinner at Veneto Pizza, but I forgot.  I'm way out of practice.  I'm embarrassed.  Anyway, a busy week this week with offsite meetings, onsite meeting, conferences, Easter, and capped off with Farm Day.  Sooooo....
