Sleepy... So Very Sleepy...

Photobucket
Feeling like this guy lately.  I think I've been battling a cold that everyone's been getting, which is better than the flu.  Anyway, it seems our house is becoming the house of weird cookie jars.  And yet, we never have cookies...

Bad ass motorcycle gang member made of shells!

SANTASAURUS REX!  Saw this guy on our walk through East Rochester last week.

Photobucket
It's amazing walking through work these days because doors and hallways just magically appear out of nowhere. This one leads to the new clinic

Photobucket
My coworkers daughter makes all sorts of creative desserts.  Here's a teddy graham fishing swedish fish.

"I KNOW YOU!  HELP!  I DON'T BELONG IN THIS OFFICE!"  Congrats to Karen on her new job even if Chance seems really confused on top of your desk.

That's it.  Nothing much happening lately and I'll probably rest a lot on the long weekend.  Some football tomorrow.

MEGAN CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GREAT ROSE'S ARTWORK IS! Again, please join Rose's Facebook at:

Children's Memorial Hospital employee picnic. Can you believe I resigned from this place? Tons of food and fun all the time? And, during the worse economic calamity since the Great Depression? What an idiot...

Photobucket
Balloon animals. Nice

Photobucket
Bucktown Art Festival at the worst named park ever. Senior Citizen Memorial Park. Really? It's a park to memorialize dead old people in general?

Photobucket
A really nice art fair in general though

Frank's N Dawg at 1863 N. Clybourn in Chicago.

Megan had the Lamb Keema hot dog with lamb, English peas, cucumber salad, pearl onions and socca. Very good

The Southerner! It was great and for a great cause. Some of the proceeds go to Children's Memorial Hospital when purchased. This is not your typical hot dog stand. It's very gourmet and the prices reflect that. It's about $8-9 per dog. But, the many of the sausages are homemade and the toppings and bun are incredible. Check out their website at: http://www.franksndawgs.com/

That's about it. Megan got the ol' moving truck ordered and stuff like window ac unit, couch, rug, nightstand, bookshelves are going on Craigslist. There's also a bunch of books, clothes, more candles than you can imagine, and other items up for grabs. Let me know if you are looking for something and I'll send a photo or whatever.

You can't do that on a Tuesday!

Photobucket
It reads: "ATTENTION! Dan the dog walker will eat your dog! Don't be another victim, you have been warned!!!" I don't know who "Dan the dog walker" is, but he seems to have a bad reputation. I don't think he really ate anyone's dog because something like that would have ended up the on WGN morning show for sure...

Just hanging out at the zoo like the rest of us.

Look at the size of this lady's canvas. About 5' x 7'. It's a rather ambitious plein aire painting.

Photobucket
Another weird Lincoln Park sculpture. I should really make a book because they have the strangest stuff in this neighborhood. My favorite thing about this sculpture though is the security. Notice the sign to the top right. They have a huge camera mounted on the house as well. The front of the house is half sculpture garden, half prison. I kind of want to just sit on it and that's probably why they have the camera in the first place...

Photobucket
Not sure what this is either. It's just a few house down from the one above. It appears to be a lady whose head is the rear hood of an old Volkswagen Beetle. As for the rest, your guess is as good as mine...

Photobucket
Restoration work on the South Pond of Lincoln Park. They drained the pond and have been putting in walkways and all sorts of stuff. There's a half circle wooden tunnel in the rear of the picture. Not sure what that's for. Should look good when they fill it with water again.

Like the Robins in spring, you know it's summer when Kermit and Barbie return from their vacation home and take up residence in my backyard.
