He has lots of wonderful memories and people in his life.  And he wanted something to symbolize that in his home.  After some thought, he was inspired.  He and his girlfriend shared a favorite childhood movie.  What if he had a painting made with his girlfriend as the main character?  And their cat could be added as well!  It's a fun piece that turns a house into a home.

Please visit my Brightscapes art show at Mendon 64. Along with my artwork, there's pieces by Kim Lester, guest chef Chris Hobaica , music by: Jaunt UPstate MA'AMD.B. RiellyNick LeDucRyan Barski, Tuesday extended happy hours, Wednesday $1 oysters, Thursday no corkage, and so much more.

Blog To the Future!

QUICK!  To the DeLorean!

Emmett "Doc" Brown, Marty McFly, and a Hover Board in 2015.  GREAT SCOTT!

Scout makes a good Hover Board even if she was very gassy at the Halloween party.  Someone must have found some cheese on the kitchen floor...

Thanks Megan and Scout for making my dream of 26 years come true!

Go West, young man...

Another edition of old photos being digitized.  February is a good time to do that since I rarely go outside anymore.  Enjoy...

Aunt Suzanne and I on a great adventure on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.  (Shopping Cart Riding will be added to the 2018 XXIII Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea)

Aunt Sharon holding up a villainous sculpture at the Swetsville Zoo (http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/10787) in Fort Collins, Colorado.  A really great place to visit to see lots of sculptures made of car parts.  Highly recommended!

See Heather, I have been to the Great Platte River Road Archway (http://www.archway.org/) over I-80 in Kearney, Nebraska.  It's really a museum dedicated to the history of people passing through Nebraska in covered wagons, trains, Model T's, to today.

Uncle John and Aunt Sharon in Fort Collins.

Grandpa George enjoying a Greek Chili Dog Special at G and L (http://www.glchilidogs.com/) in 2002.

Dave Scholtens and Rodd Moon snowboarding in Roosevelt Park, Michigan.

Walking in a park, I heard a strange noise when I threw my popcorn box into the garbage.  I pulled out my camera and quickly took this shot of a baby raccoon.

Cousin Mal, myself, and Aunt Mo after my high school graduation.

Me and my sister Lisa after my high school graduation.

Gilana Alpert and Rodd Moon at the homecoming game in our senior year at Mona Shores High School.

I believe we won 4th place...  outta 4 teams...  But, here are your St. Francis de Sales Knights!

Downtown Ra-cha-cha

 photo 100_6317_zps26292c18.jpg
Downtown Rochester looking west.  I haven't been down here in a while.

Mercury Statue (http://rocwiki.org/Mercury_statue) at the old Kimball Tobacco Factory (http://rocwiki.org/William_S._Kimball_Tobacco_Factory) with the Times Square Building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Times_Square_Building_(Rochester)) behind it.

First Federal Plaza (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Federal_Plaza).  Too bad the revolving restaurant isn't on the top anymore...

 photo 100_6320_zps0ca0f093.jpg
The Granite Building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granite_Building) is one of my favorite buildings in the area.

Chase Tower (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase_Tower_(Rochester))  Seems like this is where God banks...

 photo 100_6325_zps7abd3ca1.jpg
And, of course, the old Lehigh Valley Railroad Station (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lehigh_Valley_Railroad_Station_(Rochester,_New_York)), which is now Dinosaur BBQ (http://www.dinosaurbarbque.com/)

 photo 100_6323_zps3412fcea.jpg
Here's where the first photographic film was produced by Kodak.  Now, it's just another parking garage in a city of parking garages.

THE BUNNY!  I'm not sure what Megan would do if she saw this hopping at her in the backyard...

Rachel and I hunting for ribbits (frogs) at Papa's house.

That's it.  Now to go have Megan's car repaired...  again...

That Snape Is Such A Jerk!

Photobucket
SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!  Why did he ever trust him?!?!  Just more evidence that I remain 12 years old (and my wife encourages it)...

Photobucket
So, Megan is out of town and I'm left to my own devices.  I didn't intend to buy this for dinner, but when I saw that Hamburger Helper had Beef Stroganoff and ULTIMATE Beef Stroganoff, the decision made itself.  What makes it "ultimate;" not sure...

Photobucket
Another "perk" of Megan being out town is watching terrible movies like Omega Man starring Charlton Heston.   Classic zombie flick.

Photobucket
And speaking of my blushing bride, here she is!  Who knew when I made these for our wedding that it was going to be a decoration for the house?

Photobucket
And, Megan's idiot husband...

Photobucket
So dreary.  I think this is as bright as it got all day today.  At least it wasn't a foot of snow or another ice storm.

That's about it.  I've been pretty boring lately being sick and all.  Waiting to hear if Megan's flights will even make it in tonight.  Blah, blah, blah, etc...

The Things I Spend My Hard Earned Cash On...

Photobucket
Not what I intended to pick up the last time I went to Target.  But, this was a bargain.  Benji: The Deluxe Collection with three movies and 3 TV episodes!

Photobucket
Went down to the Corn Hill neighborhood to check out the art festival.

Photobucket
Nothing like free food samples.  And yes, it was delicious enough to fight this mob to get to.

Photobucket
The construction at work continues.  He's a pic I stole from the Lollypop Farm facebook page.  They busted through the walls of our current vet clinic as a part of building the new clinic.

Good stuff and good times...

Small Fish In A Small Pond

Photobucket
Tachel and I posing for our x-mas card

Photobucket
Megan and Tachel looking a bit more beautiful

Photobucket
Megan and I at the Public Market getting our Petrillo's Bakery http://petrillosbakery.com/  pizza crust fix.  The public market has been one of the best reasons we've moved to Rochester from Chicago.  One thing that is strange about Rochester is all pizza is really expensive.  Considerably more than in Chicago.  Not sure why and if anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear it.  Anyway, lots of great stuff here and you should go if you get the chance

Photobucket
pomegranates!!!

Photobucket
Homemade knitted caps.  LAST DAY at the public market.  GET IT OR FORGET IT!

Photobucket
In what has become a x-mas tradition, Peter, Sarah, Megan, and I go to the Screening Room www.screeningroom.net  in Amherst, NY (just outside of Buffalo) to see It's a Wonderful Life on the big screen.  I wanted coffee at some point during the movie, instead Megan got me Seagram's Escapes Strawberry Daiquiri.  Nice...  It's considered a "flavored beer" and tasted like old Kool-Aid.

Photobucket
Oh!  Megan got Chex Mix for Christmas.  And, that is it...

Photobucket
THANKS TO PETE AND SARAH!!!  IT HAS BEGUN!!!  They got me a book for x-mas called Take a Hike! by Rich and Sue Freeman about all the parks and hiking spots in the Rochester area.  This is Tryon Park (East of I-590 at Tryon Park Road in Rochester).

Photobucket
Here's one of the many hills around town.  Notice that the trail has a steep slope on both sides.  I didn't realize western New York was geologically so crazy.  Lots of flat land that has been gouged by glaciers making lots of strange hills and waterfalls.

Photobucket
A view of Irondequoit Bay.

Photobucket
This is the second park I've been to that use to be an old sewer plant location before it was converted into a park in 1971 (Linear Park being the other).  No doubt, it was before the EPA and raw sewage was probably dumped into the Irondequoit.  This pipe is one of the few reminders of the past.

Photobucket

Photobucket
That's about it.  Now that the holiday season is finally over, it's time to get back to hardcore job hunting and learning about my new home.  For x-mas, Megan got me a ticket package to the Rochester Americans ("Amerks" for short) hockey.  They are a part of the American Hockey League and affiliate of the Florida Panthers.  So, don't be surprised to see pics of us in Amerk's shirts, with hot dogs, banging on the glass, and chanting "HIT HIM! HIT HIM" in the near future...
