Summer Excitement!

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

WELCOME TO SUMMER!

It's those glorious days under the hot summer sun.  The cool breeze racing off the water as we hike to our favorite beach.  The birds diving and the fish jumping causing the water to splash.  The smell of food on the grill is the only thing preventing us from taking a nap.  It returns me to my youth.

What do you do to enjoy summer?  Is it relaxing with the AC in your home office and brisk walks at night?  Perhaps it's puttering in your garden watching your fruits and vegetables grow and flowers bloom?  Maybe it's taking a refreshing beverage to your favorite vantage point to watch the sunset?

These are the days to remember.

PS - Looking to spoil yourself?  Try S'more cake.  It's everything you love about cooking at the fire pit, but can be kept cool and invigorating in the fridge.  Recipe at: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10226250314979982&set=gm.398884775592831

HAPPY 7TH SCOUT-IVERSARY!

 HAPPY 7TH SCOUT-IVERSARY!

EXTENDED COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS EDITION!  In the before times, we'd lazily wander around Corbett's Glen, the site of Scout's first walk after adoption.  To follow health and safety guidelines and avoid crowds, Scout-iversary has been extended to a full weekend and covers the Finger Lakes Region!

BUT WAIT!  THERE'S MORE!

Enjoy the sunlight now.  The next time you'll see it is in May...

Weird place to find a Roman highway

COVID-19/Coronavirus Discovery: Mountain bike paths are an absurd and tiring way to get lost in the woods.

Judging from the distance, looking at Boston...

So this is then looking toward Montreal...

Five Year Anniversary!

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

Five years ago, I followed my dreams and became a full-time artist.  I couldn't be more amazed by all the support I've received, humbled by the hundreds of my pieces that are on walls all over the world, and excited for all that is to come.  This has been an incredible journey.  An adventure that you made possible.  Thank you and I can't wait to see what the next five years bring.

Your Friend,

Michael Kraus

PS - Here are some photos from our vacation to Palma de Mallorca looking for inspiration

What An Exciting Summer!

I hope that you're enjoying your summer!  That you're spending sunny days by the pool, grilling up delicious meals, and watching fireworks.  I've been busy with painting and various new shows.  Not only that, but just finished some renovations to my house that has allowed me to expand my studio.  So, I've been moving around furniture and trying to figure out how to best use my new work space.  I'll share some pictures once I have it all figured out.  Savor the warm, radiant days of summer while they are here.  The inspiration can last a lifetime.

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!  To celebrate, Megan is sipping a fine beer waiting for me to build the fire up enough for s'mores.  Hurry up Mike!  S'MORES!

We have reached peak s'more roasting

Congrats Maureen on an amazing show.  So many fun pieces and lots of fun people.  It was another great opening at Whitman Works (https://www.whitmanworks.com/).

These are completely awesome.  I want to rehang this somewhere in my house.  So, I need to build a new wall somewhere soon...
