Supply Run

Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty

Supply Run

A weekend to myself.  Better get everything I need to survive.  A few meals, junk food for snacks, something for dessert, and something to drink to make me feel good.  Aisles and aisles of brightly colored sugary treats.  All waiting for me to let myself go.

This drawing would look best in a colorful space that is bright red, orange, yellow, light green, blue, purple, black, white, neutral, or wood.

Patriotism is keeping our fellow citizens safe. "To love thy neighbor" (Matthew 22:38) means to "Let each of us look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others." (Philippians 2:4). How many of our loved ones have asthma, heart disease, diabetes, overweight, have/survived cancer, or 50+ year old parents/grandparents that need our protection? It can be fun and stylish too.

Luckily, there are so many exceptional piece that fit your unique personality and won't break the bank. This includes beautiful masks with original Mike Kraus Art: https://society6.com/mikekraus/masks. With over 200 designs, there's a fun and creative piece just for you.

Signs of Summa

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!  To celebrate, Megan is sipping a fine beer waiting for me to build the fire up enough for s'mores.  Hurry up Mike!  S'MORES!

We have reached peak s'more roasting

Congrats Maureen on an amazing show.  So many fun pieces and lots of fun people.  It was another great opening at Whitman Works (https://www.whitmanworks.com/).

These are completely awesome.  I want to rehang this somewhere in my house.  So, I need to build a new wall somewhere soon...

 The Rockin' Rocking House

Sports Illustrated Puppy Edition photo shoot.  Even Scout needed a pool day.

Megan trained her to stick her tongue out at the camera

Scout's enjoying this a little too much...

A dog should not like floating in a pool this much...

D'OH! A DEER! A FEMALE DEER!

The deer have been visiting more frequently again.  Still waiting to see the new fawn again.

Saw this guy while moving the vegetable garden to a new location.  They seem to really like the natural meadow design we're implementing.

If I had a saddle, I could ride this guy.  Not afraid of us at all.

Dog Days of Summer

Scout has a new buddy to play with, Brooklyn.  She loves playing with bigger dogs.  I like it because it means one full day of her sleeping.

BELLA!  Add another day of sleeping!

Bella:  Mike!  Scout won't play with me.
Mike: Scout, get outta there.
Scout: But I so tired and Bella can't get me here...

Unfortunately, I can't get her there either.

BEST DUMPSTER DIVE FIND EVER!  Any out there looking for a backhoe?

#PIZZA.  This is some of my favorite chalk art we found at Cobbles Elementary.

Nothing like making dinner over a bonfire on a weekday.

Now that's a beautiful flame.

Mmmm...  Brats!

Embers after a good night at the backyard pit

HAMBURGER!  No?  A quinoa and lentil burger.  Mmmm.

Haven't seen much of the deer lately.  But, yesterday I did see a doe and fawn race through the neighborhood.  It's a pretty fresh fawn since it didn't look much bigger than Scout.

Megan's Happy Birthday!

Started off Megan's birthday with drinks at Hogan's Hideaway (http://www.hoganshideaway.com/).  You can tell she's excited about her French Martini.

Sitting outside on Megan's bday?  Weird.  Usually there's some kind of awful weather that ruins everything.

Checking out the new sculpture park at the Memorial Art Gallery.

Us: "Weird little Lego-ish guy, why are you so sad?
Lego-ish Guy: "'Cause I saw the weather report..."

Mmmm...  Poutine.  Really, really great poutine at Lento (http://www.lentorestaurant.com/).  Another reason we need to go to Montréal sometime in the near future.

Pasta and burgers all locally sourced and delicious!  I highly suggest Lento at Village Gate

Megan enjoying her new gliding love seat for the patio.

ACTION SHOT!  Scout received a new pair of lips in the mail!  THANKS AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!

And, she's down for the count...

First fire of the season.  Not so much for fun, but to clean up some of the mess in the yard...

Night rabbit curious about Scout

Looks like we're going to get some fawn soon.

The deer are not scared of us...

Perhaps because they are possessed by the devil...

"Instead of watching the movie, do you think you guys could just go to bed instead?

Scout loves cleaning up the yard.  Specifically helping pick up the sticks and gnawing them to hell.

Look what I found in the garden!

Lots of rain came down right after we finished Megan's b-day dinner.  Lots of flash floods all over the place.  Sounds like it took out Penn Yan, NY.  This is the Irondequoit Creek by our place, which flooded much of Panorama Plaza

Where the Sideway Ends.  Ummm...

Heading home and checking out the flooding.  This is the trail I usually take home.

Saw a few Blue Heron hunting along the creek

At the top-center is usually an island with a bench.  No more island and I doubt there's a bench anymore...

Another new river created in the flood by the "Hillbilly Hot Tub."

No, graves didn't float down the river.  This is the "Loop Trail" sign that was uprooted from about 1/2 mile upstream.

 Ranging waters at the bridge

Panorama of the river at the parking lot of Linear (Channing H. Philbrick) Park.  Usually, the river is half as wide.

 Old mill foundation under water

Something's odd about this myrtle...

Scout's first time on the hammock.  Not so sure about it yet and doesn't have her sea legs yet.
