Michael Kraus was born on the industrial shoreline of Muskegon, Michigan. After earning his Fine Arts Degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he attended Grand Valley State University for his graduate degree. From there, he gained varied experiences from the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Art Institute of Chicago, Hauenstein Center For Presidential Studies, Lollypop Farm Humane Society, and the Children's Memorial Foundation. And every place he worked, he had his sketchbook with him and found ways to be actively creative. In 2014, Kraus became a full-time artist by establishing Mike Kraus Art. Since then, he has sold hundreds of paintings that are displayed in nearly every state and dozens of countries. Currently, Kraus lives in Rochester, New York with his beautiful wife and goofy dog.

THE CELEB-AQUARIUM!

Photobucket
The day before this picture was taken, it was 65 degrees. Obviously, this was below freezing. Today is somewhere in between. Oh March...

Photobucket
Baby Back Rib chips. How can I love and hate something so much at the same time?

Photobucket
I'm sure there's an interesting story to go along with this. What? I don't know...

Photobucket
St. Josaphat doing some "people watching" near my work. It's a nice perch. Apparently, he was a martyr. But, he became a saint because his body didn't rot.

Photobucket
Apparently, the worst thing you can put in the office at a children's hospital is a mechanical dancing chicken. My poor co-workers, they only wanted it to feel more like Spring...

Photobucket
Originally, Megan was the one that was called "difficult" by the jewelers. She had specific styles in mind, baby fingers, desired and exotic looks, and so on. I, on the other hand, wanted plain, simple, and affordable. Megan got her ring months and months ago and I finally got mine. Simply put, for every one men's ring in a store, there are at least 25 women's rings. Done and done...

As Some of You Might Know, No One Uses MySpace Anymore...

Welcome to my new blog. Since MySpace has been relegated to the land of Prodigy, AOL,
Livejournal, and other dinosaurs, I've decided to start this up in it's place. Hopefully, I will
post more frequently once again. Enjoy!

to music and timed as well...

These must be old because this was from the first snowfall of 2009 and we are about to have
the last days of winter around here.

An "award" I got at one of my 4 work x-mas parties. I hope it interesting like "Wow!
That guy is really interesting. I'd like to know him better" and not "Whoa. That guy
is... um... interesting" and no one likes him. Either way, it came with a Trader Joe's
gift card.

For the xmas season at work, we each took turns bringing in treats themed to 12 days of xmas. This was 6 geese a laying and it's on an egg mcmuffin.

Photobucket
Megan and Sarah waiting to watch It's A Wonderful Life on the big screen in Buffalo, NY.
They take this movie very seriously and don't take kindly to making fun of Zuzu...

Photobucket
I don't think I've ever seen the Bills win. Here, they lost to the Patriots. I think Brady only
threw one pass the entire game and it was a TD to Moss. Go figure...

High Falls in Rochester. If you aren't from Rochester, you probably
wouldn't know there was a giant 100ft waterfall in their downtown.
If you did, you probably wouldn't have an easy time finding it.
With a little work, this could be a huge asset to Rochester.

There should be less snow here in June...

I'll let Megan tell you about this

Photobucket
My new favorite shirt. THANKS NICK!

That's about it and look for more postings in the near future. I probably have a few hundred
photos on my camera from the car show, new years, and all sorts of other nonsense...

Stanley and Me

Photobucket
Here's Flat Stanley (FS). For those who don't know, FS is a school project where kids give him to people they know and take pictures of all the places he ends up. This guy has been to way more places than I have including Paris, Ireland, England, and throughout the United States. Most importantly, the Kedzie Stop on the Brown Line of the CTA. This is for a little girl in Pennsylvania who is the niece of a friend's friend of my girlfriend...

Megan's dad made a surprised visit for her birthday. So, we went to the Chop House and then they
went to a Cubs vs. Padres game the next day instead of work.

Megan and a co-worker had a shared martini b-day party at work. Her co-worker has a niece or
something who's an "exotic dancer. So, for Megan's b-day, he gave her this card and a pair of her
old 8 inch tall dancing shoes.

Photobucket
BEST WORK PERK EVER! My co-worker, Ruth, and I got free tickets to the White Sox right behind the
Sox dugout a couple nights ago. Here's the team during the national anthem.

Photobucket
A disputed bunt where the umpires didn't see anything wrong, nor did anyone in the stadium, but it
was called back because a Twins player complained and they called it back. It was a very strange call
and took a lot of time to sort out. But, Ozzie had a few words with the umpire and that was
entertaining as always

Mauer nailed a homerun when I shot this...

Photobucket
Another Ozzie moment. I wish I could see a replay of this because it was very improbable that the player was safe. But, oh well.... I was hoping to catch him getting thrown out. Didn't happen

SOX WIN!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Another lifelong dream fulfilled. I finally got a game ball. This was tossed to me by Paul Konerko! I came close to getting one a couple years ago at a Sox game, but I just came back from the food stand with drinks and nachos and a brat in my hand when it headed toward me. As I tried to maneuver around, the ball landed in the seat in front of me and I had to fight some kids for the ball, which I lost to another adult who got it. This only cost me a half a beer I spilled on the dugout that the guy I gave my extra seat to bought for me. GREAT DEAL!
