The days of summer.  A time to appreciate all the wonderful moments we're experiencing.  The trips to the lake for boating and swimming.  And absorbing the light and warmth from the sun.  To reflect on how grateful we are for all that we have.

What do you think about the artwork on your walls?  How do you capture your memories.  Does that make you happy?

Mike Kraus was born on the industrial shoreline of Muskegon, Michigan. After earning his Fine Arts Degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he attended Grand Valley State University for his graduate degree. From there, he gained varied experiences from the Chicago Architecture Center, Art Institute of Chicago, Hauenstein Center For Presidential Studies, Lollypop Farm Humane Society, and the Lurie Children's Foundation. And every place he worked, he had his sketchbook with him and found ways to be actively creative. In 2014, Kraus became a full-time artist by establishing Mike Kraus Art. Since then, he has sold thousands of paintings that are displayed in nearly every state and dozens of countries. Currently, Kraus lives in Rochester, New York with his beautiful wife and goofy dog.

The waning days of summer.  A time to reflect on the memories we've made.  All the trips to the lake for boating and swimming.  Also a time to absorb every last bit of the warm sun the summer has to offer.  To remind ourselves to be grateful for what we have.

This painting would great in a small space that is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, white, gray, beige, or wood.

I < 3 NY - Part Four - Taughannock Falls in Ithaca

Megan and I at Taughannock Falls State Park.

More hiking and more gorges!

Taughannock Creek

An old railroad bridge that we'll be crossing that's way the hell up above the gorge.

Another waterfall

View of the Taughannock Creek gorge

Taughannock Falls

The 215 foot drop is 33 feet higher than Niagara Falls

Unfortunately, it started to rain and Megan hurt her knee.  Scout was pretty tired.  So, we cut out most of the hiking we planned to do.  But, as I said about Lucifer Falls, it's a good excuse to come back.

Waves of rain crashing against the woods.  Cayuga Lake in the distance.

INDIAN VILLAGES
Occupied by Taughannocks situated north and south of stream burial ground on bluff west of John Jones home site Indians named Lake-Guenguch
First white settlement 1794 by two Goodwin Brothers

That's it for this trip.  All you really need to know though is:
ITHACA IS GORGES!

Part One: Albany

Part Two: Buttermilk Falls In Ithaca

Part Three: Lucifer Falls In Ithaca
