Sleepy... So Very Sleepy...

Photobucket
Feeling like this guy lately.  I think I've been battling a cold that everyone's been getting, which is better than the flu.  Anyway, it seems our house is becoming the house of weird cookie jars.  And yet, we never have cookies...

Bad ass motorcycle gang member made of shells!

Photobucket
SANTASAURUS REX!  Saw this guy on our walk through East Rochester last week.

Photobucket
It's amazing walking through work these days because doors and hallways just magically appear out of nowhere. This one leads to the new clinic

Photobucket
My coworkers daughter makes all sorts of creative desserts.  Here's a teddy graham fishing swedish fish.

"I KNOW YOU!  HELP!  I DON'T BELONG IN THIS OFFICE!"  Congrats to Karen on her new job even if Chance seems really confused on top of your desk.

That's it.  Nothing much happening lately and I'll probably rest a lot on the long weekend.  Some football tomorrow.

2-for-1 Holiday Special

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I think Megan and I broke a new land speed record between Rochester, NY and Muskegon, MI with a drive time under 8 hours.  I'm glad we got to see a lot of people back home and sorry that we didn't get to see everyone.

DON'T FEED HER AFTER MIDNIGHT!

And, in honor of the new Muppet movie, I say, "meer meer meer meer!"

Photobucket
Seems that x-mas and t-day combined forces this year.  And yes Virginia, that is a Superman snuggie.  It looks even better when I become "Lazy Superman" watching football on the couch.

This is Brother Thou Shalt Not Get Fat.  Of course, it only contains grenola...

I'd Believe That Milkshake Could Do That...

Photobucket
Oh, St. Patty's Day

Photobucket
I believe this falls under the category of "ironic."

Half good advertising; half too-true to be funny...

We went Sabatino's for dinner, which was really, really, good! REALLY!

Photobucket
It's been really beautiful in Chicago the last few days. Pretty much since Monday. And, it won't be good again this weekend apparently. Oh well...

Photobucket
I use to think the other side of this building was hideous. Was there a discount on all building supplies as Home Depot and the architect just had to use everything?

Photobucket
When did public art turn into "meaningless crap." Let's see... Not the Egyptians...
Not the Greeks... Not the Romans... It wasn't the Renaissance... Not the
Enlightenment... It wasn't during Colonialism... Not around the Civil War... Still
decent during WWI. Great stuff by the WPA during the Great Depression... Ah,
here we go, since WWII. Post war America, what were you thinking? The the war
shock the aesthetics out of you? When will you recover?

Photobucket
My grandpa had this cookie jar. I can tell you, he didn't pay $375 for it.

Photobucket
AMAZING

That's all...

Stanley and Me

Photobucket
Here's Flat Stanley (FS). For those who don't know, FS is a school project where kids give him to people they know and take pictures of all the places he ends up. This guy has been to way more places than I have including Paris, Ireland, England, and throughout the United States. Most importantly, the Kedzie Stop on the Brown Line of the CTA. This is for a little girl in Pennsylvania who is the niece of a friend's friend of my girlfriend...

Megan's dad made a surprised visit for her birthday. So, we went to the Chop House and then they
went to a Cubs vs. Padres game the next day instead of work.

Megan and a co-worker had a shared martini b-day party at work. Her co-worker has a niece or
something who's an "exotic dancer. So, for Megan's b-day, he gave her this card and a pair of her
old 8 inch tall dancing shoes.

Photobucket
BEST WORK PERK EVER! My co-worker, Ruth, and I got free tickets to the White Sox right behind the
Sox dugout a couple nights ago. Here's the team during the national anthem.

A disputed bunt where the umpires didn't see anything wrong, nor did anyone in the stadium, but it
was called back because a Twins player complained and they called it back. It was a very strange call
and took a lot of time to sort out. But, Ozzie had a few words with the umpire and that was
entertaining as always

Mauer nailed a homerun when I shot this...

Photobucket
Another Ozzie moment. I wish I could see a replay of this because it was very improbable that the player was safe. But, oh well.... I was hoping to catch him getting thrown out. Didn't happen

SOX WIN!

Photobucket

Another lifelong dream fulfilled. I finally got a game ball. This was tossed to me by Paul Konerko! I came close to getting one a couple years ago at a Sox game, but I just came back from the food stand with drinks and nachos and a brat in my hand when it headed toward me. As I tried to maneuver around, the ball landed in the seat in front of me and I had to fight some kids for the ball, which I lost to another adult who got it. This only cost me a half a beer I spilled on the dugout that the guy I gave my extra seat to bought for me. GREAT DEAL!
